Tekron's IEEE 1588 Product range to be unveiled at Plug-fest 2008
Tekron today announced that it will be unveiling three of its shortly to be released IEEE 1588 products at the 2008 International IEEE Symposium on Precision Clock Synchronization for Measurement, Control and Communication (ISPCS).
Brian Smellie (Technical Director) and Caleb Gordon (Design Engineer) will be demonstrating the following Tekron products at 'Plug-Fest', an ISPCS forum for testing IEEE 1588-based high-precision timing devices.
IEEE 1588 v2 Transparent Switch
- 8-10/100 Base-T/TXports
- 1-10/100/1000 Base-T port
- Ruggedised
IEEE 1588 v2 Grandmaster Clock
- GPS time source
- 10/100Base-TX port
- Accurate to within 100ns to UTC
- Ruggedised
- NTP server function
IEEE 1588 v2 Ordinary Clock
- Configurable outputs (e.g. IRIG-B, PPS)
- 10/100 Base-T/TX port
- Configurable via MS Windows based software
These devices are part of a suite of IEEE 1588 products that Tekron is planning to release in early 2009. "We have been working on the development of our IEEE 1588 product range for some time now" said Brian Smellie, "I am confident that these products will prove to be of enormous value to our current and future customers."
